Things

1. I never used Q-tips, until I started dating Cristian. He is an avid Q-tip user.
2. My favorite feeling is having Violet slowly get that heavy feeling on my chest when she's falling asleep.
3. Violet's rosy cheeks when she's been out in the sun are about the cutest thing I've ever seen.
4. Popsicles are a real addiction.
5. I like doing origami in bed.
6. I also like making dream catchers in bed.
7. I used to be afraid of the kitchen with all it's evil pots and pans. Now I almost enjoy cooking.

Being a mommy is hard

It's Sunday. I'm not feeling well so my mom was a kind soul and offered to take Violet on a little road trip down to Provo to drop Stephanie (my niece) off at a Youth Conference. I was all for it, but it has been a few hours and I'm missing my baby so much! I'm so pathetic, totally started crying and everything.

She's my world.
I love her so much.

Knock Knock, Who's There? Yo Mama!

Well, this summer is just FLYNG by. Not quite ready for fall because that's basically the same thing as winter here in the Valley. The past week Cristian had his last week of paid vacation for the year. We made sure to make it fun. We went to Porcupine Dam, played basketball at Central Park, went up to Bear Lake with my sister an niece and had fun rapping on the way back (hence the title of this post), enjoyed several nice long walks on the river, watched lots of movies, and all around had a blast with Violet. It's sad to have the time go and now we're back into our regular grind-but although our life is a calm one, it's  good one.

Cristian has started management training at work this week. He's doing so well and is an amazingly hard worker and it seems as though all of that is paying off. By next year we'll be moved down to Clearfield and he'll be in charge of the store there, and will take a HUGE pay increase. This is much more important to him then myself, but it will be nice to have a little bit more of a security blanket and possibly be able to buy a new car! I'm not very excited about the prospect of moving. I really like the house we're in, our landlords are amazing, our neighbors are quiet and tolerable of our little girl, it's close to both of our families and all our friends live here, I love my ward and my calling in the primary. And while it's only 1 hour away, I feel like that 1 hour is going to make a huge difference because I don't know anyone there. And the first few months I just KNOW it will mean long hours for Cristian.

It is a blessing though, he's very eager about the opportunity, he's earned it, and he will do a great job at it. Proud wife right here :D

Some more exciting news; I've started the process of getting Violet her passport because guess what?? This coming March (2014) Violet and I will be going to AUSTRALIA with my mom and dad for a few weeks to see everyone. I am beyond beyond beyond excited! It's been so long since I've traveled anywhere and it's a huge part of my life, and something that I want to DO for the rest of my life. Hopefully Cristian gets time off and he can come with us, but with him taking over a store an getting into the groove of things we both doubt he'll be allowed 2 weeks off. Regardless Violet and I will be going and the time can't come soon enough. It's been a while since I've had anything to really look forward to, and this is a big one!

Australia, here we come :D
