A love letter from mom

My sweet Violet, you have my heart. Nothing makes me feel more blessed and loved by my Heavenly Father then having you as my darling baby girl. You're growing up so fast. There are times where I want to tell time to slow down, but everyday you learn and grow and find new ways to make me laugh and I find myself looking forward to the next silly thing you'll do. Your daddy and I love you so much. You're so special to us and we cherish all the moments we have with you.
You're such a good little helper. You help Grandma and Grandpa in the garden and unloading the dish washer. You help mommy "sort" her laundry and help your daddy out by eating part of his lunch every day. You help me push the shopping cart when we go purchase groceries. You love to read, and be outside-rain or shine. You love to run and climb on absolutely everything. You love to play "peek-a-boo", and love drinking chocolate milk-out of a straw. You love to draw, and take care of your baby dolls. You love animals and treat them with such kindness. You LOVE to work out with mommy in the mornings, and playing with your daddy's ears when he comes home at night. You're the best teething baby ever, and you love going to Primary with me. You would let me brush your teeth 20 times a day if I wanted to, and you love having your back rubbed.

You're a little bit of a klepto. You stash mommy's socks underneath your crib. I've found bunches of dead leaves hidden underneath the table in the living room. Your dad frequently has to go on a scavenger hunt to find where you hid the remotes. Grandma once found an ear of corn in the round chair next to the piano, and bunches of rocks you've picked up from outside in between her couch cushions. I try to make sure you don't get a handle on my keys because we'd probably never find them. I always find you stuck in the strangest places. You like to climb into cupboards and drawers and closets, and I've had to play hide and seek several times to find you. You haven't quite figured out how to reverse to get unstuck from those places. You're learning how to use my phone (unintentionally) and have called your daddy,  your Aunt Victoria and Talisa, and Grandma on several occasions without me realizing it. From what I hear you've had great conversations with all of them :) You love the wind, and enjoy listening to dubstep. You are the best dancer Violet.

You do not like having your hair up in bands or bows which drives me crazy sometimes. You do not like peanut butter, cantaloupe, tomatoes, or macaroni and cheese which we find just so incredibly odd. You get upset when bath time comes to an end and when we have to come inside after our daily walk outside. You are terrified of pigs, and don't really enjoy the vacuum either (but you're getting better about the vacuum).

Everything about you, we love. You make both of us better. And you teach us more about ourselves every day.

Love, mom
