Love Bugs

This morning I walked out to the kitchen with Violet hot on my heels. One of her bibs had fallen off its hook next to the microwave and I watched in awe as she toddled over, picked it up, put it on, then walk right up to her high chair and looked


at me. I suppose my girl was ready for breakfast, and she enjoyed what we had (vanilla yogurt with some granola mixed in, and we'll see if she'll eat half a banana).

We've had a fun morning. Violet is fascinated with bugs ( I think most children are) and our house has been invaded by box elder bugs. Good thing I don't mind them. If it had been a less desirable bug like a spider we may not have a house, as I would have burned it to the ground. We spent some of the morning rounding them up on some sheets of paper and shaking them free out in the yard. It's been pretty fun to watch her and spend time with her.

I think today we'll take a walk up in the canyon, bake some banana bread ( Violet loves to help me mash the bananas and stir all the ingredients in the bowl), and come up with a yummy dinner for her dad tonight. We both feel like today could be a really long day. I also might FINALLY get Lindsey's mint, coral, and grey dream catcher done. We'll see how it goes.

Like mother like daughter. I have a similar photo my mom or dad took of me doing the same thing with daddy's shoes. This morning has been so much fun. Can't wait to go up the canyon a little bit later :D
